Aquamatic Valves.

Please see tables below for valve descriptions and features.

Aquamatic Diaphragm Valves

Description of Typical Options.

Spring assist open valves have a spring in the lower diaphragm to assure full valve opening in the absence of line and control pressures. Recommended when line pressure is less than 20 psi and best on drain valves where flow is low and the valve must open fully so that back pressure is not created. Also for draw valves on brine lines.

Spring assist closed valves have a spring in the upper diaphragm to assure full valve closing in the absence of a line and control pressures. Recommended if line pressure is below 30 psi or if supply of fluid is low and the valve uses line pressure to control closing and discharge to drain (atmosphere).

This valve can be used as a check valve when installed in the reverse direction of flow, but only recommended for metal valves up to 50 psi.

Limit stop flow control valves have an adjustment bolt on the cap to limit the opening of the valve and thus control the flow rate. The limit stop can be used to manually close a valve and is not pressure compensating. Recommended for backwash and rinse drain lines but should not be oversized when using the limit stop option.

Normally Closed Valves direct upstream line pressure through a small hole in the shaft causing the valve to close. To open, control pressure must be applied to the bottom of the diaphragm. This valve should have more than 20 psi and is not recommended if the line media has undissolved solid material that could effect the function of the valve. A typical application is as a by-pass valve, which is opened during regeneration.

Position indicator valves have an extension to the valve shaft that indicates the position of the valve. This option precludes the use of most other options.

Externally normally closed valves are normally open valves which have an upstream boss drilled and tapped with a tube to the top of the diaphragm to provide closing pressure. This option is recommended when the position indicator option is required.

48 XX Motorised
58 B XX Motorised
58 B TA Alternating

Stagers are rotary pilot valves for fluid control. In the Aquamatic range the series 48 has 6 ports and comes in a manual or motorised version for softening or filter applications. The series 58 has 16 ports and is best suited for 2 column deionisation applications, within the series 58B there is a 58B-10 option for mixed bed deionisation. Optional features include light display and ancillary equipment switches. Electronic controllers are also available.

Spare parts available on request.
